Wagoner

Samuel B. Wagoner, born in February 1855, came to this state in early manhood and located at Yellville in Marion County. He met a young lady named Eufama Johnson and they were married in their mid-twenties. To this union were born five children: Luther, Walter (Bud), Edgar, Horace, and a daughter, Lula Wagoner Boyd.

Luther Wagoner married Alice Holliday of Georges Creek in Marion County. They were the parents of six children: Alsey, Audra, Kirby, Ward, Althea, and L. G. Alsey married Howard Ott and they had two children. Audra married Pink Killebrew and they had five children. Kirby married Gladys Vickers and they had two children. Ward married Lorene Freeman and they had six children. Althea married Tom Hudson and they had two children. L. G. married Gladys Mears and they had three children.

Bud Wagoner died at an early age and was never married. Edgar married Maud Cummins and there were no children. Horace married Lucille _________, a girl from Illinois. They have two children. Lula's first husband was Ellis Banta and they had three children. Later Luta married I. B. Boyd and they had one daughter.

Many of the Wagoner children, descendants of Samuel B. and Eufama, still live in Marion County. All of Luther and Alice's children live here. Luther and Alice have 24 great-great-grandchildren.
