Jim and Dulcena (McEntire) Tippit lived at Old Powell. Their children were: Lonnie; Earl; Birdie Smothers; Ada Candy; Della Moody; Pearl Mayfield. In 1905 they worked for Walter Milum and lived in the Eros community. Lonnie Tippit married Myrtle Trimble, daughter of Joe and Nannie Stovall Trimble, and they moved to Pyatt. Their children are: Cinderalla Kersh of Heber Springs, Arkansas; Joe James Tippit of California; and Billy Lorenda, deceased. Myrtle is still living in Pyatt and is one of the few older people left. She is 77 years of age.
