William I. Lefevers (1825-1899), his wife Mary J. (died in 1910), and their son, Robert Stanley Lefevers, aged 5, were living in the home of William Wood, Sr., and his wife, Hannah, in 1860. The children of William I. and Mary J. Lefevers were: Robert Stanley; James A.; William H.; and Mary M., wife of William Elbert Noe. Another daughter, Ardena, is mentioned but information about her is vague. She married a Carver. There was a son, Fred Carver, and possibly a little daughter. A grave in Cowan Cemetery has this inscription on the stone: "Lela Ardena Carver, June 12, 1903 - February 20, 1904."
William I. Lefevers served in the Confederate Army, 1864-65. The children of Robert Stanley Lefevers and his wife, Laura Dulcenia (Dullie) Wiggins, daughter of Seaborn and Carolina Tutt Wiggins, were: Carrie (Mrs. Dave Pierce); Anita Laura (Mrs. Thomas Foster Hand); William Seaborn, who married Lucinda Lovell; Jenks Bryan, who married Mrs. Myrtle Hall Osborne; Robert Eugene, who married Edna Langston; Lester, who married Jimmie Pyle; Dullie Belle Minnie (Billie) married, first, a Mr. Smudlack and after his death she married John Young. Joe Alvie died of meningitis at the age of 17.
James A. and Maggie Tatum Lefever were the parents of: William (Willie); Jay; Dennie; Minnie; Ruth; and Virginia.
William H. and Nell Noe Lefevers were parents of: Loy; Faye; Delna; and Letha. Mary M. Lefevers and William Elbert Noe were parents of: Guy; Mark; and Madeline.
