James Daffron Family

James Daffron married Margaret Anderson. The date they came to Marion County from Tennessee is unknown. The Daffrons were of French descent. James and Margaret Daffron had three children. They were: Silas, Charlie and Eliott. Silas married Louisa and their children were Janie, Sara, William, Calla, Mary Lee and Elijah.

Charlie married Minnie Wood, daughter of Uncle "Bud" Wood and their children were Letha, who married Flem Gibson; Lelia, who married Oscar Flippin; Bessie, who married an Ott; Duff, who married Web Jones; and Ruby, who married Owen Burris.

Eliott married Nancy Jane Alford, daughter of John and Martha Alford. Their children were Herbert, who drowned in White River in 1914; Johnnie Viva, who married Escar Watts; Rupert, who married Ruth Cornell; and Elwood, who married Bessie Mann.
